Dance: a rhythmic performance to music. These works are about capturing Bollywood dance movements through photography, sculpture and print.

The Light drawings are created using two cameras to capture both hand movements . The dance is performed to the music score of the Bollywood film ‘Lagaan’, in a dark room.

The steel sculptures directly translate the hand movements of the dance piece, bending, twisting and turning the sheet . The sharp angles and the soft curves reflect the emotions expressed through the performance.

Relief prints are a result of taking the performance through photography, sculpture , and drawing. A combination of plate lithography and relief print is used to make these prints in vibrant colours reflecting the colours of India as seen in Bollywood films.
